Bricked my PineTab2 using Jumpdrive? - jkboyd - 02-23-2024

I tried to use Jumpdrive to write an os image to the exposed /dev/hda block device and now the tablet no longer boots. Jumpdrive always boots though and I tried "flashing" the factory default image but still no luck.

Can I somehow use Jumpdrive to restore my PineTab2 to a bootable condition?

I never received a USB/UART with my PineTab2 and shipping to USA is quite expensive so buying this would be a last resort.

I'm not much help here, but I will note that the USB/UART device is easily overlooked (by me at least). If you still have your packaging you may want to go back and look for it. As I recall, the device was tiny and crammed into a small nook where I almost didn't see it.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tip, but no luck finding it. I think they just to forgot to pack it and I didn't even realize it was supposed to come included with it. I had mine working for a while with PostmarketOS.
