Bluetooth HFP - AndyM - 09-22-2022

It seems that there is a patch from dylanvanasscge for Bluetooth HFP ready for pluseaudio. Is this available for arch yet, and if not when can we expect it?

RE: Bluetooth HFP - wibble - 09-26-2022

Depends what you mean by 'ready' - the merge request is still in DO NOT SHIP state. Arch shouldn't include it until that changes.

RE: Bluetooth HFP - AndyM - 10-11-2022

Apparently it is in the postmarketOS edge:

Quote:BlueZ and PulseAudio partly support HFP 1.6. Only the audio part is supported. Reporting battery levels from the AG to HF is unsupported and all cellular operations and status reporting is not supported (yet). A first step in fully supporting Bluetooth HFP 1.6 is taken here: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/-/merge_requests/631

postmarketOS edge has the necessary patches applied to PulseAudio for supporting Bluetooth HFP AT commands (battery level reporting, cellular status, accept/reject calls, etc.), audio routing not yet. Feedback is welcome in https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/-/merge_requests/693

from here.

The author is a PmOS developer. Status is shown a little differently on the tracker there.
