C4 Labs Pine 64 Cases (Standard & LCD) - Bluphire - 07-07-2016
I received my case today from a seller by the name of The C4 Labs I found on ETSY. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the design and the materials. The only problem I encountered though was there were no cutouts for the reset/power switches. I just used a dremel and notched out the piece for my switches. I've emailed the founder of The C4 Labs about the issue and will report back when (if) I hear back. All in all, very pleased. And at just under $20/shipped, it's a wonderful case.

Thanks so much for the input. I actually borrowed a board from one of my customers so I could make a case for it. The Pine64 that I ordered has not arrived yet. Is there any way I can bribe you to send me your board? I would be happy to send it back with whatever case you want. I would also throw in some x-wing and tie fighter ornament kits that we cant sell online.

I have several of the C4 Labs cases (Zebra Black Ice) for my Raspberry PI 3B models... and I love 'em !
I am thrilled to be made aware the C4Labs has made, or is making, a case for the PineA64 board--- brilliant ! This is definitley exciting.
Dustin, can you put vents in the case plate (top, optional) for placing an external 5v miniature brushless fan. It would be really good if the case had an optional top-plate that had an opening (30mm) above the SoC that I could rest my rubber footed free-standing 5v fan over... with slots in the base plate to allow for incoming air-flow.

Truthfully I don't know as much about the Pine64 so I am depending on input from you guys to make the case right. Ill work on this tomorrow and post a picture.

it would be nice to be able to access internals quick and easy. one design i'm currently trying to find is either a tube/magnetic pin combo or, probably more safe a magnetic tube set were one tube is o.d. smaller than other tube i.d. , i have not been able to source any such cases. the concept is the halves just "unsnap". or just slide apart. rather than unscrewing. the screw design is ok if the board does not need to be accessed frequently, otherwise it's a pain imo

The screw design actually works very well, because its solid; it does not accidentally come apart, even if its accidentally dropped.
Also, the screw design allows for the stacked design (zebra style) which C4Labs is famous for... I would like to see a Zebra Black Ice design for the PineA64 that for the most part looks | feels | like the one they made for the Raspberry PI ! If the design is right access to the board is not at all necessary !
I have not needed to open my PIs (Zebra Black Ice) since installing the heatsinks !
