Mobian stuck in bootloop - The_Bolder - 06-25-2020

Hey all,

I flashed the 16/06 build (and later the nightly) on a 32GB SanDisk microSD card. Sadly, in both cases Mobian is stuck during the plymouth boot screen (circle keeps circling indefinitely).

PostmarketOS works with this card, so I guess the microSD is not the problem. UBports is on the internal flash.

Any clue what the problem might be? Thanks.

Hi!,

Maybe you can try another version in case that build you used is not working fine.
Also it could be the SD card was not created properly, what is your method to create the write the image onto the SD?

I used dd and made sure the card was unmounted.

I dug through the issue tracker and found that, apparently, there is some kind of problem with partition checking during boot. So maybe that's what causes the bootloop.

Update: using JumpDrive to flash it on the internal mmc worked! No clue what's going on with the microSD cards....
